This climb will also take a full day.
In our opinion, Pasochoa is the perfect mountain to begin an adventure towards higher Andean crests.
The route is simple and, besides, very beautiful. Pasochoa is an extinct volcano.
Early in the morning we will go to Santa Rita, 3,300 meters above sea level, where our adventure to the Pasochoa summit will begin. We will walk along a path in the native Andean forest that will take us to the open "páramos" of Pasochoa where the straw grows high and from which a magnificent view of the volcanoes is possible. The ascent is easy and very exciting and the top is reached at 4,200 meters above sea level. Again, this climb is recommended for acclimatization.
